The founders, Robin Quivers and Brendan Murphy, came together while working on another charitable event for the United Nations Girl Fund, in early 2009. After the event, Robin and Brendan realized that they shared similar aspirations and goals and agreed to come together to form the 15 Foundation. Both founders wanted to make the art of giving a fun process; one in which anyone could participate. Robin and Brendan agreed to combine their resources to maximize the exposure they could provide to worthy charities. Most importantly, Robin and Brendan agreed that the best way to be effective was to put together fun, dynamic events that would bring like-minded, charitable people together for exemplary causes.
Robin Quivers - Founder
Call her the world’s greatest good sport, a defiant survivor or an unintentional trailblazer. Any way you dissect her, Robin Quivers is a multi-media force to be reckoned with. Best known as the straight woman/news anchor of the groundbreaking and immensely popular Sirius XM radio program “The Howard Stern Show,” Robin parlayed her cutting intellect, deceptively sunny personality and boundless ambition to become a renowned revolutionary of radio broadcasting. As the female sidekick to Howard Stern, Robin has held her own in a boys club to amass a legion of fans millions in numbers. Such success following her humble start makes giving back a priority to her.
In 2010 Robin has taken her popularity to good use and launched a charitable organization called the 15 Foundation dedicated to improving academics, nutrition, and arts education in K-12 schools in the United States. Furthering her commitment Robin’s mission is to support deep, long-term interventions empowering youth in the three areas of Mind, Body and Spirit. "There's nothing more rewarding than seeing a person progress because of some assistance you've given them. It’s a priceless irreplaceable feeling,” Robin explains. Focused on building a new future for young people through education, nutrition and creative arts, Robin is committed to changing the way American society nurtures its youth. Since it’s founding the organization has funded several programs focusing on nutrition, academics and arts. She says, “ Seeing someone else blossom as a result of some thing you do is an irreplaceable feeling.”
